  The UK Metropolitan Police made a surprising announcement reminding them that Segways are banned on roads and sidewalks under a 19th century law. They have two wheels, carry their passengers at high speed but they would, in reality, be banned in the UK. UK Metropolitan Police have said on Twitter that riding on sidewalks or on the road with a segway or hoverboard is illegal, as reported by the Mashable site .
